What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on the device you are using to access the Internet when you visit a website. They make it possible to recognize the devices that you use to access the website. Storing cookies is under full control of the user’s web browser, and the user is able to restrict or disable the storing of cookies if he or she wishes so.
Why are cookies important?
First-party and third-party cookies
The first-party cookies that are essential for the operation of the website are already saved when you visit the website, while all the other cookies are only saved if the user has given their explicit consent thereto. First-party cookies make it possible to log into the user’s profile, identify the user’s session and display the web page properly.
First-party cookies are essential for the provision of services which are available on this web page. They make it possible to log into the user’s profile, identify the user’s session and display the web page properly. First-party cookies are stored when you visit our web page.
The web pages served from the Finance servers may also include content from third-party servers – videos, graphs, social network content and tools, advertisements etc. The third-party servers use their own cookies and send them to the user directly – the Finance servers only insert in the web page an instruction to be interpreted as “insert something from YouTube here”, but we are unable to control whether a third-party server is sending third-party cookies to users and which cookies it is sending. In this regard, we can only offer you an option to accept or reject third party-cookies for privacy control. If you decide to reject those, the Finance servers will serve you content without the third-party elements.
First-party cookies: these cookies are served to the user by the Finance server. They may appear on any domain owned by Finance.
Display of third-party content and social networks: depending on whether the user is also logged-in with a third-party provider, he or she may also receive other cookies based on the user’s explicit consent given to the third-party provider.
Advertising system: Finance participates in ad networks that group a large number of different end providers, so this list may change at any time.
Please note for all other than first-party cookies:
Although the Finance web pages contain instructions for inserting elements from third-party servers, the communication between the third-party servers and the user is not visible to the Finance server. This communication takes place directly. It is therefore technically impossible for us to track and compile an up-to-date list of cookies, which are used by the third-party servers at any given moment. This list was therefore confirmed to be valid on the above stated date. We are going to update the list from time to time.
Regardless of whether you give your consent to cookies from a web page or not, you are always able to monitor and control the cookie use directly in your web browser. For more information about the cookie settings, please select your web browser.
